![]() ![]() Hough’s senior year of high school was shortened to five games due to the pandemic, so White saw Hough go from a freshman without a ton of game experience, to one of the most accomplished quarterbacks in school history. “Him being a competitor is probably his best attribute.” When he’s been behind center, it’s been an awesome spectacle to watch,” said White of his quarterback. Hough is a Humboldt County native, who played his high school ball at Fortuna High and has quarterbacked the Corsairs since football returned at College of the Redwoods. Hough also tied the single-game passing touchdown record Saturday with five, a record Hough reached without playing in the fourth quarter. Sophomore quarterback Max Hough became the all-time leader in passing touchdowns at College of the Redwoods with 39, with a few more games to build on his record. The highlights came frequently for the Corsairs’ on Saturday, but one Corsair got to etch his name into the school’s record books. CR played four games since the start of October, winning all four, and have had a combined score of 200-37 over the span, averaging 50 points per game. Head coach Jason White has the Corsairs’ firing on all cylinders as the end of the regular season approaches. The College of the Redwoods’ football team won their fourth game in a row after Saturday’s 76-0 obliteration of Gavilan College on Saturday. ![]()
